Ski Touring
This past weekend we took a spontaneous trip to northern Pennsylvania for some ski touring in the deep woods of a large state forest. We couldn't have asked for better conditions. No ice. All powder. The temperature was delightfully cold with sunshine during the day and snowfall at night. The hemlocks were green and healthy. The wood stove was toasty. The companions were the best. The food was excellent. The Lord generously refreshed us - mind, body and soul! On a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (superb), this was a 10!

Looks like you guys had an awesome time Per! Glad to hear you got a little crosscountry practising done :). We're planning on taking you for a 20 km trip in a couple weeks. Both Tee and I are looking a lot forward to you and Alice coming over soon!
It's been snowing, snowing and snowing the last week - and it's still snowing. It's great! Up at Beitostølen, where the cabin is where we will take you guys, it is currently about 170cm of snow! Plan for an awesome and snowy weekend ;).
Hey Dad! The pictures that you took look fantastic. I agree with you that God blessed us immensely last weekend. I'll always remember that trip as one of the best winter experiences I've had. Thanks for taking us.
Robby, we're really looking forward to our visit with Tee, you and your family and experiencing the grand snow mass! Thanks for arranging everything. Sounds like it will be really fun!
Petch,
Amen! God is good!
Popadom, those were some great pictures! I wish I could have been there! We'll have a good time when you come though. I can't wait until you come in only 234 hours and 31 minutes! :-) Love you!
it was great fun. Thanks for showing me some snow
It sounds like a wonderful weekend, so blessed! I hope this will be a beginning of wonderful outdoor times together : ).
Would love you join you some time!
Lyn&Tim,we'd love to do some skiing with you! We'll have to plan a trip together next ski season.
Paul, this trip was a definite "do again"!
Tee, we'll be there soon!
Paul, in typical fashion, seems to have adopted my hat as headgear for the weekend. Not that I particularly need it down here ;-)
John
Hey John, I hope you don't mind, but I've used your hat several times too. It's a really nice one! :-)
